As a Sustainability Consultant, you’ll be the face of ClimatePartner – playing a key role in empowering businesses to understand, reduce, and manage their carbon footprints while achieving their broader sustainability goals. You’ll combine strong commercial and client management skills with a passion for climate action to deliver measurable impact.
 
 Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Serve as the account manager across a diverse portfolio of clients, effectively prioritising work to ensure all projects are delivered on time, in scope, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Consistently achieve high client renewal rates through proactive relationship management and exceptional service delivery.
  • Upsell repeat services and collaborate with technical leads to identify and sell new opportunities, including Reduction Projects and Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM) initiatives.
  • Manage corporate and product carbon footprint projects, ensuring calculations are accurate, comprehensive, and clearly communicated to clients.
  • Supports clients in identifying carbon hotspots and devising high-level carbon reduction strategies.
  • Supports target-setting workshops, helping clients establish and progress towards Net Zero or Science-Based Targets.
  • Allocate time and resources effectively to manage a high volume of accounts and competing priorities, maintaining structured project timelines and avoiding scope creep.
  • Identify inefficiencies in internal processes and create long-term, scalable improvements to enhance team performance and delivery quality.
  • Contribute to team development, supporting Senior and Lead Consultants and sharing best practices in project delivery, client management, and process optimisation. 
Who you are
  • You are commercially minded, with experience upselling or expanding client accounts through relationship building and solution-oriented discussions.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, taking initiative to improve processes and deliver better outcomes for clients and colleagues.
  • You have experience in a professional environment.
  • You have proven project and client management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
  • You build relationships easily, using education and transparency to build client trust.
  • You are confident working with data, have strong analytical skills, and are proficient in Excel.
  • You are passionate about sustainability and persuasive in communicating the importance and business value of corporate climate action.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and budget holders at management and board level.
  • Your English language skills (written and verbal) are at a native level

 Desired, but non-essential:  
  • You have some previous exposure to carbon accounting  
  • You have experience in life cycle analysis, corporate social responsibility strategy, climate risk, CDP/TCFD reporting 
  • You have a technical sustainability-related university degree or similar educational qualification
