Carbon Sourcing Manager (m/f/d)

What you will do

  • You will build and strengthen relationships with international project partners while actively expanding our global supplier network through targeted outreach initiatives.
  • You will identify and source high-quality climate action projects, using data analysis and market insights to guide project selection and portfolio development.
  • You will lead purchasing planning and contribute to strategic procurement, applying a data-driven approach to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • You will support and further develop our internal inventory management system and relevant official registers to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • You will stay up to date on developments in the dynamic carbon offset market, including standards, technologies, and market trends.
  • You will represent ClimatePartner in selected customer meetings and industry events, strengthening relationships and showcasing our expertise.
  • You will design and manage data tools to enable efficient processes, support partner and project onboarding (including due diligence and legal framework reviews).

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a technical background (e.g., renewable energy, forestry) is a strong asset.
  • You have 2–5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain management, or the carbon market.
  • You bring a solid understanding of the carbon market, including key standards, technologies, and methodologies, and you proactively stay informed about market trends.
  • You have experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management across different regions.
  • You are confident in analyzing data to support informed, strategic decision-making.
  • You demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • You are detail-oriented, solution-driven, and bring strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
